Min: ExxonMobile exit not to prevent Russia from work in Arctic
KRASNOYARSK, Mar 2 (PRIME) -- Russia does not plan to stop development of the Arctic shelf following a decision of the U.S. oil company Exxon Mobil to quit joint projects with oil major Rosneft in 2018 due to the U.S. and E.U. sanctions, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Sergei Donskoi told reporters on Friday.
“We are not going to stop. New decisions should be made, there are other companies ready to work on our Arctic shelf,” he said and added that decisions to quit any projects are individual decisions of the two companies.
